{"id":400,"date":"2019-08-18T12:21:36","date_gmt":"2019-08-18T10:21:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gt3themes.com\/wordpress-themes\/soho\/?page_id=400"},"modified":"2020-06-17T00:50:46","modified_gmt":"2020-06-16T22:50:46","slug":"about","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/justpeoplefilms.com\/about\/","title":{"rendered":"About"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dear Audience,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>My name is Alexander Moust and along with my team, Lucienne Groot, Jildo-Tim Hof, an extra editor and animation artists we would like to inform you on our film project LABYRINTH about a truly remarkable group of people and about a very urgent and topical subject that deserves a world audience .<\/p>\n<h2>BACKGROUND<\/h2>\n<p>The humanitarian crisis and refugee flows that have arisen in Europe as a result of the war and fighting in Syria, along with chaos in Iran and Afghanistan lead to inhumane situations for a lot of innocent refugees \u2013 merely trying to find a safe home \u2013 on the mainland, at sea and on the islands of Greece.<\/p>\n<p>In order not to look away from the issues ourselves, but to pay attention to the extremely distressing conditions of many, we have repeatedly traveled to Greece in 2018 to 2020, filming, photographing on the spot and exchanging experiences with refugees in the least pleasant circumstances. We also maintain regular contact with them from abroad.<\/p>\n<h2>LABYRINTH FILM PROJECT<\/h2>\n<p>Our cameras and microphones take us into the lives of the main characters, Arash and Zharaa, young, determined refugees from Iran and Syria living in Athens. We come to places and situations where, as an outsider, you normally would not know about and we become part of the daily life of the refugees. In addition, we make sure they feel safe to express themselves and we gain access to their personal inner world. There is a clear distance between what they crave for and the possibilities given to them in reality.
